In the following article i won’t be mentioning any of those sport supplements, but rather the drinks that are a part of our environment. Athletes should include a good number of these drinks in their everyday meal plans in order to get enough needed nutrients.

Tomato is rich in vitamins A, B & C, antioxidants, calcium. Every one of these substances play an important role in athlete’s body, keeping it’s immune system safe which is often challenged by all those workouts. Tomato juice is a real vitamin refreshment for good recovery.

It’s most useful when an athlete is in a state of recovery after an illness or injury.
4. Ginger & Chamomile Tea
The mix of these two teas will help you sleep better and we all know how quality night sleep is crucial when it comes to recovery. This tea should be drank during an evening hours, before sleep and it has a special effect during a competition time when athletes are tense. It’s also good for your digestive system.
5. Orange Juice
This juice is one of the most popular drinks in the world. In this case i’m talking about the 100% natural juice without any extra sweeteners. Beside containing a huge amount of vitamin C and antioxidants, orange juice will help you with a boost of energy during your workout. A perfect choice for any athlete.
It’s very important to mention that to get the most out of these drinks, you should be drinking them on an empty stomach. Drinking any kind of fluids after a meal conflicts with our digestive system and it doesn’t allow our body to completely absorb the nutrients.
